Elsinore Theatre: COVID-19 Update

March 12, 2020

On the evening of March 11, 2020, Gov. Brown announced a ban on public gatherings and events of more than 250 people to try to slow the outbreak of COVID-19. This impacts almost all events at the Elsinore Theatre. Our team is addressing the postponement of a number of events. If you have tickets to one of these events, please wait for our Box Office to contact you with more details by phone or email. If you did not purchase through the Elsinore, please contact your point of purchase.

We ask for your patience as we balance the needs of our community, employees, and artists. Please know, we are grateful for your patronage and support of our theater as we work through this financially stressful situation.

We will continue to monitor and follow the guidance of Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Oregon Health Authority for recommendations and direction.

Stay healthy and safe,
Tom Fohn
Executive Director

Please Note: This is an evolving situation. We will be updating this page and emailing patrons as more information becomes available.

March 9, 2020

The Elsinore Theatre considers the health and well-being of our patrons, guest artists, volunteers and staff a top priority.

We are closely monitoring the evolving situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As it has an increased impact on our community, we felt it is important to connect with our patrons directly to let you know more about the precautionary steps we are taking at our venue to help keep you, our employees and our community safe and healthy.

  • We have increased sanitation practices.
  • For daily operations, we are disinfecting our administrative area, box office and other touchpoint areas every morning.
  • For theater events, we are disinfecting seats, restrooms and other touchpoint areas prior to each performance.
  • All our bathrooms are stocked with soap.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in our lobby.
  • We are encouraging staff and volunteers who are feeling unwell to stay home.

Keeping our community safe is a priority. We will continue to follow the guidance of Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Oregon Health Authority for recommendations and direction. As we monitor the situation, we will communicate any changes with our plan of action as needed.

At this time, we will be continuing with all performances as originally planned.

Thank you for your patronage,
Elsinore Theatre
